Pre-season perspective
« on: September 29, 2015, 01:14:36 PM »
So going into this season, who do you feel will be the following;

Big positive surprise of a player?
Player most likely to underachieve/be a letdown?
Most likely to win multiple player of the week awards?

If others would like to add similar questions, please do so.

I'm beginning to hope the player that steps up and surprises is Gazi. I've never seen him play, but he continues to get positive reviews from others.

The player that lets us down will be Cain because too many people are hyping him up. I just don't believe the kid is ready to step in and be a key contributor...I hope he is a surprise, but I get concerned when players are asked to do too much too soon

I'm going to add a topic: Which freshman, other than Gazi, must provide quality minutes off the bench
The right path is sometimes the tortured path...DePaul fans are the definition of "tortured"

Cain I think will be a solid player this freshman year. Would not expect double digit average, but I could see him being a 5/6 point a game type player. I also believe that Myke will be quite good. Henry really gets overlooked I think, because people see DePaul as the Billy Garrett Jr show.

Underachieve - RJ Currington. I noticed that DePaul has tried to push him as a solid contributor, but I think he will be marginally better than he has been the past few years. I also give an honorable mention to Tommy. He has to show me that he is engaged into the team and not be a individual player.

Billy will be the most likely to get player of the week. Not saying he will, but best candidate to.
