Neither trade was smart.

I'll say the Bears trade...in hindsight...seems like Pace felt pressure that wasn't there to go up and get his guy...
The Butler trade...he likely would leave after this contract...so leverage for him wasn't that good....

Minnesota has him for 2 years, and there is a player option (which Jimmy will decline) for a 3rd year.

I believe that Lavine is a FA after this year, if a qualifying offer is not made, and Dunn's rookie contract is up in 3 years.

Gar got robbed.

Not praising the Bulls' trade at all...
Poll called for a choice....
Bears gave up picks that they didn't have to.
Bulls couldn't get much for Butler...the league knew the bulls wouldn't give him a max contract....Butler could be a great "Robin" on an awesome team....but he thinks he is "Batman" - he's not.

Well, the Bulls trade is not looking as bad, although Dunn and Lavine are underachieving.

Mitch looks to be a pretty good QB, although arguably, he is the 3rd best QB taken, so does that make him the Jim Kelly to the John Elway (Pat Mahomes) / Dan Marino (Deshaun Watson)?  Better to be Jim Kelly than Todd Blackledge, Tony Eason or Ken O'Brien.

Iím a fan of both teams ....I based my comment back then with influence from Jason Goff who always implied that Butler was a problem...
Iíve only seen highlights of Mahomes..but jeez he looks good...
Thank goodness for Khalil Mack....takes a ton of pressure off Trubisky..
So I hope both Markannen and Trubisky work out... but this question is long from decided I suppose..
