DePaul’s chances to gain a victory in Big East Conference play grows smaller and smaller each game, and perhaps one of the Blue Demons best remaining chances will be this Tuesday at Allstate Arena when they welcome the Seton Hall Pirates. Seton Hall is coming into the game with a four game winning streak, but three of those four wins have come against two of the three worst teams record wise in the Big East. On the season, Seton Hall is 13-9 and 4-6 in conference play.

DePaul vs. Pittsburgh Preview

The Blue Demons will face their second top 10 foe of the week when they host the #6 Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday afternoon.  The Blue Demons (8-15 overall, 0-10 in conference) remain winless in the conference, and have not won a game since the calendar turned to 2009.  Their last defeat came at the hands of Marquette by the score of 76-61.  Will Walker kept DePaul in the game with a career-high 30 points.  Leading scorer Dar Tucker missed the game with a sprained ankle he suffered in practice.  The Panthers (20-2 overall, 7-2 in conference) recently finished off a two game home stand by defeating Robert Morris 92-72.  Seniors Sam Young (23 points) and Levance Fields (12 points, 13 assists) led the Panthers to victory.  Pittsburgh leads the all-time series 3-1.  These teams finished out the regular season against each other last year in Pittsburgh, and the Panthers took the contest 98-79.

DePaul vs. Marquette Preview

DePaul welcome their neighbors from the north as the Marquette Golden Eagles come to Allstate Arena this Wednesday for an eight o’clock tip off. The Blue Demons are 8-14 on the season, with an 0-9 conference record. The Golden Eagles is 19-2 overall and 8-0 conference record. This is the second match-up of the teams, as they met on January 24th, with the Golden Eagles capturing a 79-70 record.

DePaul vs. Rutgers Preview

On Saturday evening, two teams desperate for a win will square off in New Jersey: the DePaul Blue Demons and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.  Neither team has won a game since December, and both are comfortably set at the bottom of the Big East standings with zero wins in conference.  Obviously, something has to give.  The Blue Demons (8-13 overall, 0-8 in conference) recently suffered a home defeat at the hands of the UConn Huskies 71-49.  The Blue Demons were only down 6 at halftime, but managed to score a lowly14 points in the second half.  The Scarlet Knights (9-12 overall, 0-8 in conference) suffered a 70-67 defeat to in-state rival Seton Hall on Thursday night.  Mike Rosario led the team with 25 points.  DePaul holds the 2-1 all-time series advantage.  The two teams last met at the Allstate Arena last season, where the Blue Demons were victorious 75-73.

DePaul vs. UConn Preview

On Wednesday night, the DePaul Blue Demons continue to get their first conference win, after seven unsuccessful tries. However, their path will be difficult, as they are welcoming the number 2 team in the nation in both the AP and ESPN/USAtoday polls, as the UConn Huskies come into Allstate. The Blue Demons are 8-12 overall, with a conference record of 0-7. The Huskies, on the other hand, are 18-1 and 7-1 in Conference.
